All of our parels are genuine gekweekte parels — real parels grown inside living oysters in the ocean, not imitations or simulated parels. Cultured parels are created when a skilled technician introduces a nucleus into the oyster, which then coats it with layer upon layer of lustrous nacre over 2-5 years.
